Daffy Duck suits up as the not-so-mighty "Jerkules" on this delightful September 1997 DC issue, wielding a sword while the enormous scaly coil of a serpent-like monster curves menacingly around him — and the looming shadows on the cave wall hint that even more creatures may be lurking nearby. Cover pencils by Peter Tumminello and inks by Scott McRae give the Greek mythology parody a wonderfully dramatic flair that perfectly captures Daffy's trademark mix of bluster and barely-contained panic. It's a charming slice of Looney Tunes humor dressed up in ancient heroic trappings.
