The desert Southwest never looked so satisfying as on this cover by Scott Neely, where a gleeful Road Runner peers down at a very thoroughly trussed-up Wile E. Coyote — bundled tight in a large sack, secured with rope, and bearing a sign that says "OUCH!" The cacti and canyon rock framing the scene set the perfect sun-baked stage for whatever schemes have gone hilariously sideways. With a story titled "Coyote Convention" inside, this August 2014 issue promises plenty of the timeless, good-natured mayhem that makes this series such a reliable treat.
