Looney Tunes #112
Two squirrel-like characters — caught in a giant hand and squabbling over who should go first — make for an instantly charming cover on this 2004 DC entry in the long-running Looney Tunes series. David Álvarez and Mike DeCarlo bring just the right rubbery energy to the scene, with the bickering duo's speech bubbles ("Watch out, Tosh!" / "I really must insist…") promising plenty of genteel chaos ahead. With a story titled "Fee, Fi, Fo, Fudd," issue #112 looks like a delightful spin on a fairy-tale premise that the whole creative team — writer Bill Matheny, artist Álvarez, inker DeCarlo, colorist Dave Tanguay, and letterer Nick J. Napolitano — seems perfectly suited to deliver.
