The Swift Rider joins Phil Cary's party to stop white men's bullets and renegade treachery along "The Iron Trail." Under orders from a stage driver, the posse pursues a prisoner, but complications arise when the Swift Rider discovers the captive is actually an innocent man and the sheriff's true prisoner is someone else entirely. A Native American legend frames a second story about two young lovers from rival tribes who must each seek out a medicine dream in solitude, only to encounter each other and face tribal disapproval before ultimately parting ways.
