# Lone Eagle #1 The inaugural story follows a shirtless archer named Atsani who challenges a rival tribe to settle a quarrel through single combat. After Atsani's swift arrows prove superior in battle, he is defeated and beaten, but his conqueror—a warrior named Arrow—shows mercy and refuses to kill him. The two become friends, with Arrow earning the name "Lone Eagle" after a cat's claw necklace grants him the strength of talons, and he is recognized as a chief among chiefs. A subsequent tale depicts white soldiers and a figure called "Redskin" engaged in frontier combat, where the Redskin uses a mountain lion to aid his escape from pursuers before being confronted by the white chief in a final confrontation.
