Local Man #8

Local Man #8 brings a quietly unsettling close-up of the series' yellow-helmeted, red-eyed protagonist — his gloved finger raised to his lips in a "shh" gesture, while a collage of colorful comic-book panels radiates from behind his head like a fractured halo. It's a visually striking composition from cover artists Tim Seeley, Tony Fleecs, and Shelby Robertson that perfectly captures the book's blend of superhero nostalgia and something a little more dangerous lurking underneath. Writers Seeley and Fleecs, with artist Fleecs and colorist Brad Simpson, continue "Left Behind" in this December 2023 installment from Image Comics.
