Only Lobo could make cosmic destruction look this laid-back — the Main Man is literally surfing through space on a flaming skull-emblazoned board, riding what the cover boldly proclaims to be the Godwave, his wild mane streaming behind him against a swirling, star-flecked vortex. This October 1997 issue ties into DC's Genesis crossover event, with cover art by Carl Critchlow and Mark Propst capturing that perfect blend of absurdist cool and raw power that defines the character.
