“Death Trek 100, Part One: Wagons-Yo!”

January 1997 kicks off a wild new arc as Lobo strides coolly in the foreground, blue coat flowing and something glowing ominously in his fist, while behind him a massive "Death Trek 100" vehicle erupts in fire and flying debris — with at least one unlucky passenger getting very intimately acquainted with the wreckage. Carl Critchlow and Mark Propst give the cover a gloriously chaotic energy that suits the Main Man's brand of mayhem perfectly. Alan Grant's "Wagons-Yo!" chapter one promises the kind of reckless, galaxy-denting fun that made this series a standout corner of DC's mid-'90s lineup.
