Sep 1990 · Archie · 1.50 USD
“The Sea Serpent of Carson's Creek”

In "The Sea Serpent of Carson's Creek," Little Archie is all in on his frog farm dream with Elvis, leaving him as collateral for a go-kart rental—only for Ronnie to step in and rescue the frog. When a mysterious sight at Carson's Creek makes Little Archie pause, he starts wondering if maybe, just maybe, friendship (and maybe even something more) isn’t so bad after all. Written and illustrated by Bob Bolling, this 1990 gem captures the charm of small-town mischief with a touch of quiet wonder, all framed by Dexter Taylor’s cover pencils and Rudy Lapick’s inks.

Little Archie has no time for Ronnie's attempts to get him interested in dating and dancing; he wants to start a "frog farm" with Elvis the frog. But when he wrecks a go-kart after leaving Elvis as a deposit, it's Ronnie who buys the frog back for Little Archie. And after Little Archie gets Elvis back, he sees something that makes him think that boys might need girls after all.
