Lion #70 is an anthology featuring multiple stories: "Captain Condor: Space-Man of the Unknown Moon" depicts a space pilot and his crew landing on the uncharted moon Zor in the year 3000, where they discover radioactive fuel but face danger from a Zorian official armed with a ray-gun who causes a volcanic eruption. A second story follows two characters named Dirk and Hal who escape across a bridge and seek a way into a manor house to thwart a scheme involving an Iron Mask, with plans to infiltrate the location through a window near the gargoyle. The issue also includes "Jingo Jones and His Invisibiliser," a humorous tale in which Jingo struggles to control an invisibility device that creates chaos when the Head and Sergeant Bellow become invisible, and a "World-Wide Quiz" featuring geography and general knowledge questions.
