Lion #57 is an anthology publication featuring multiple stories. "Captain Condor: Space-Man of the Unknown Moon" follows Captain Condor and his comrade Pete as they land on an uncharted moon and encounter hostile armored creatures called Armorbats; after being attacked, Condor uses his ray-gun to escape, but his radio-beamed sword is stolen by an unseen enemy. A second adventure involves characters named Dirk and Hal discovering a mysterious mask and planning to deliver it via ship, with antagonist Simon De'Ath watching from his cabin as they approach in a rowing boat, plotting their destruction. The issue also includes "Jingo Jones and His Invisibiliser," a story by Tom Stirling about a boy and his dog encountering a ghost dog on a construction site, and "World-Wide Quiz," a multi-part trivia feature covering geography, animals, and architecture.
