Lion #56 is an anthology comprising three stories: "Captain Condor: Space-Man of the Unknown Moon" by Frank S. Pepper, in which Captain Condor and his comrade Pete crash-land on the moon Zor in the year 3000 and face attack from armored alien creatures called Armobats; "Hunters of the Tower of London Traitors," a spy story about the commander of a parent submarine issuing instructions to four Italian frogmen to infiltrate a British vessel disguised as a midget submarine; and "Bingo Jones and His Invisibiliser" by Tom Stirling, following a sergeant who discovers two young burglars attempting a heist and uses an invisibiliser device to help them escape the law. The issue also includes a "World-Wide Quiz" feature with illustrated trivia questions.
