The fourth chapter of Daedalus's Lincoln series carries a quietly haunting weight — "Strafkamp" opens with a cover by Jérôme Jouvray that says more through shadow than words ever could. A lone, cloaked figure sits huddled in a damp stone cell, wide-brimmed hat pulled low, the only light filtering through a barred skylight overhead while murky water gathers at the floor below. It's a mood masterfully sustained by the Jouvray siblings — Olivier and Jérôme writing and drawing, Anne-Claire bringing the oppressive darkness to life through restrained, deliberate color.
