When Lil' Tomboy spends a few days at her refined Aunt Penelope's house, the aunt hopes to teach her some more ladylike interests — but the spirited girl has other ideas. As Lil' Tomboy joins the neighborhood boys in a baseball game and shows off her athletic skills, Aunt Penelope finds herself drawn into the fun and learns what makes her niece tick. By the time they head back home, the visit has turned into something neither of them quite expected.

Lil' Tomboy is given a lovely feminine dress to wear to Aunt Gussie's house, but her tomboy nature keeps getting in the way—she can't resist showing the boys how to tackle in football, and her new outfit ends up covered in mud. Now she'll have to change into a different dress before heading out, if she can manage to stay clean long enough.

When crooks Count Gatto and Shadow swipe Prof. Invento's tunneling machine for a brazen bank heist, they don't realize the inventor has a remote control up his sleeve—and neither do they plan for a certain mouse hero to be watching from above.
