Li'l Genius #46

Li'l Genius features two stories: In the first, a young inventor builds a canoe and boat to win races and become a sea captain. In the second story titled "Be Kind to Animals," Li'l Genius and his mother visit a farm to buy eggs, where the child decides he wants various animals as pets—a dog, goldfish, hamster, and pussy cat—but his mother repeatedly refuses until finally relenting and bringing home a bear, which the genius child manages to accommodate in the household.
