This delightful Franco-Belgian album from Bamboo Édition brings ancient Greek mythology crashing down to slapstick earth, with Cazenove and Larbier's cover showing a gloriously chaotic siege of Troy — a wild-eyed warrior is flung from a catapult while frantic soldiers scramble below amid cannonballs, broken wood, and general mayhem, with the walls of Troy looming in the background. The subtitle À Troie, on lâche tout ! ("At Troy, we let it all loose!") perfectly captures the anarchic, kid-friendly energy on display. A wonderfully funny entry in this long-running series that makes the myths feel as fresh and silly as ever in 2022.
