Les Nombrils #5

Volume 5 of Delaf and Dubuc's charming Belgian series delivers a title that says it all — "Un couple d'enfer" — and the cover by Delaf makes good on the promise: a stylish pale-haired boy and a dark-haired girl wrap around each other front and center, framed by roaring flames, while a group of wide-eyed, clearly alarmed friends look on from the background. The bold red-and-gold palette and the cool confidence of that central duo make this 2011 Dupuis album a genuinely fun addition to the Les Nombrils shelf.
