The second volume of this cheerful French comedy series from Bamboo Édition carries the delightfully absurd subtitle Procès vert pâle ! — and the cover delivers on that promise immediately. A frantic civilian clutches a bizarre pale-green blobby creature aloft while two unimpressed gendarmes in uniform look on with weary, deadpan expressions. Created by Jenfèvre and Sulboc, this 1999 album captures the series' lighthearted tone perfectly — chaotic slapstick on one side, stoic authority on the other.
