About this Collection

This twenty-first volume of Panini France's Les Chroniques de Conan series collects stories originally published in 1986, featuring the iconic Cimmerian barbarian in a series of adventures from that year. The collection continues the comprehensive reprinting of Conan's classic comic book tales in chronological order, offering French readers a curated look at the character's 1986 exploits.

In "L'étoile de Thamazhu," Conan is sent by King Aragu to eliminate the rebel Dachivu hiding in a secluded monastery, but his real goal is the legendary liquid gold that erupts from a granite rock once a year on the harvest day of Sultas. With the monks guarding both the secret and the treasure, Conan’s mission becomes a dangerous gamble between duty, greed, and the unknown. Written by Larry Yakata and Thomas Davier and illustrated by Rudy Nebres, this tale from the 2017 Panini France series blends myth and menace in the heart of the Hyborian Age.
