A tall, gaunt man in clerical black holds a large blooming flower aloft on a cross-like stem, while a wide-eyed red-haired girl clutches its pot below him — bats wheeling above a shadowy castle and a border of skulls completing this wonderfully eerie tableau. Rachele Aragno's linework strikes a perfect balance between storybook charm and gothic unease, with Dave Stewart's cool, dusky palette lending the whole image a haunted, fairy-tale atmosphere.
