Alastor demonstrates his new power by inhabiting Dawnstar, then Tellus, learning their secrets along the way. Alastor, in Tellus' body, finds the Metamericans holding Tyroc and Chameleon Girl just before Dawnstar, Gates, and Timber Wolf join the fight. The Legionnaires protect the Metamericans and contain Alastor until Wildfire arrives. Alastor jumps into Wildfire, but since Wildfire has no organic element, Alastor can't survive there. Wildfire flies him into space and expels him into the ether. Wildfire rejoins his comrades, whom Gates teleports away from the still-in-pursuit Metamericans.
