Legenderry: Red Sonja #3

Sergio Fernández Dávila's cover for this third issue of Dynamite's steampunk reimagining puts the fiery-haired Red Sonja front and center, battle-cry on her lips and a heavy axe raised high as she clashes against a massive, stitched-together creature that looks ripped straight from a Victorian nightmare. The two figures collide in a swirl of debris and trailing green fabric, capturing the kinetic, gaslit energy that makes this Legenderry series such an inventive take on the She-Devil with a Sword. Writer Marc Andreyko and artist Aneke's 2015 run continues to look like one of the more imaginative corners of Dynamite's catalog.
