Legendary Star-Lord #9

Chapter 3 of Marvel's 2015 crossover event "The Black Vortex" arrives in Legendary Star-Lord #9, and the cover by Paco Medina sets a charged scene: Star-Lord stands confidently before a glowing, cosmic mirror-like artifact, reaching a hand down toward a yellow-and-black-suited young woman kneeling at his feet, her gaze fixed on him with clear intensity. Looming above them both is a massive, shadowed mechanical figure, the nebula-filled cosmos stretching out behind the trio in rich purples and blues — courtesy of colorist David Curiel. With Sam Humphries writing and Medina handling both pencils and inks on the interior as well, this issue promises a compelling chapter in one of 2015's most ambitious cosmic Marvel stories.
