Leave It to Binky #2
☆ Be the first to review + Add to your collection — Join freeTeen comedy gold from DC's 1948 lineup — this second issue of Leave It to Binky announces itself with one of the most charmingly absurd cover gags of the era. Binky has apparently arranged to be delivered inside a giant heart-shaped candy box labeled "Happy Birthday to Peggy," grinning up at a thoroughly startled blonde girl who's just lifted the lid, while a flustered delivery man looks on from the doorway beside his Acme Delivery Car. The whole scene bursts with the kind of good-natured mischief that made teen humor comics a staple of postwar funny books, brought to life here by the art of C. C. Beck and inker Pete Costanza.
