This first volume of the French adaptation of the classic Chinese novel 'Journey to the West' recounts the origins of the Monkey King, from his birth from a stone egg to his early exploits and quest for immortality. It collects the opening chapters of the epic tale, adapted by the publisher Xiao Pan into a bande dessinée format with vibrant artwork faithful to the source material.
