Part of La Légende des Stryges — Époque des Lumières, this fifth volume of Le Siècle des Ombres brings Corbeyran's atmospheric series to a tense new chapter subtitled "La Trahison" — The Betrayal. The cover, rendered by Michel Suro with coloring by Dimitri Fogolin, sets a beautifully cold, snow-dusted mood: three cloaked figures in a small rowboat approach a formidable stone fortress rising from icy waters beneath a pale winter sky. It's a wonderfully evocative image that captures the period intrigue and quiet menace at the heart of this 2014 Delcourt release.
