Le prince de la nuit #6
The sixth chapter of Yves Swolfs' atmospheric vampire series brings us "Retour à Ruhenberg" — and the cover sets a wonderfully unsettling tone, presenting a pale, dark-haired figure in a sweeping cloak who gazes directly at the viewer with unnerving intensity while cradling an ornate golden chalice. Occult symbols and iron crosses loom in the shadowed background, reinforcing the gothic tension that Swolfs — handling both writing and artwork himself — has built throughout this French series. If this brooding 2001 Glénat album is any indication, the Prince's return to Ruhenberg promises atmosphere in abundance.
