Un criminel en l'an 2000 est condamné à être exilé de l'humanité pour ses différents crimes, la peine de mort ayant été abolie. Il se moque de ses accusateurs puisqu'il a préparé un micro-foret intégré à son doigt qui ouvrira la porte de sa cellule à terme. Quand il réussit à l'ouvrir, il souhaite qu'il ne l'ait pas fait, car il se trouve que sa cellule a été placée en orbite autour de la planète.
