Superman arrête la voiture, la soulève et en extrait le directeur avant de l'assommer. Pendant ce temps, Loïs s'est évanouie à cause de la fumée. Frankie brise la vitre du cachot pour faire de l'air. Superman se rend compte qu'il est enfermé au grenier. Il saute à la fenêtre et arrache les barreaux qui la ferment. Il rentre dans la pièce, s'empare de Loïs et Frankie et saute au moment où la maison s'écroule. Lorsqu'elle reprend connaissance, Frankie lui explique comment ils ont été sauvés. A ce moment, Clark surgit et indique aux policiers d'arrêter Lyman pour incendie volontaire. Le lendemain, le Daily Star publie un article sur le scandale de l'orphelinat. Quelques semaines plus tard, il rend visite à Frankie à l'orphelinat reconstruit où ce dernier est maintenant heureux.
