Season 3 of Le Chant des Stryges opens with "Pouvoirs," a 2010 Delcourt release brought to life by writer Éric Corbeyran and artist Richard Guérineau, with colors by Luca Malisan. Guérineau's cover sets an immediate tone of dread: two armed soldiers move cautiously through a snow-covered winter landscape, while looming above them in the pale sky is the ghostly, snarling visage of a monstrous creature. The contrast between the grounded, tactical figures below and the supernatural threat dissolving into the clouds above perfectly captures the series' blend of military tension and dark, otherworldly menace.
