The fifth chapter of BOOM! Studios' Lawful arrives with a brooding, atmospheric cover by Qistina Khalidah — a young, sharp-featured figure in layered armor and a flowing cloak crouches in the foreground, clawed hand extended, while looming silhouettes of imposing figures crowd the shadowed background. The tension between that lone, watchful protagonist and the encircling presences behind them gives the image a real sense of pressure and unease. Greg Pak, Diego Galindo, and Irma Kniivila's series continues to look like one of the more compelling fantasy titles of 2024.
