In "Picaros store dag," Lassie and Timmy come to the aid of Mike and his mischievous pet raccoon, Picaro, after the young boy and his animal friend are threatened by a gang of tough local boys. When Mike and his family move away, Timmy takes on the responsibility of caring for Picaro, who, despite his good heart, causes a series of unintended mishaps around the Martin house. Confined to the barn on a long rope, Picaro unexpectedly outsmarts a sleeping tramp who stole a raspberry pie, earning himself an unlikely reputation as a hero. As the Martins realize they can’t properly care for him, they search for a better home—leading to a new chapter for Picaro at a children’s zoo.

In the stark beauty of the desert, Blaze—now part of a wild burro herd led by the seasoned Old Silversides—learns the rhythms of survival from her new companions. In "Gevir mot gevir," young Timmy uses his new movie camera to capture an intense moment in the forest: two bucks locked in a struggle, one felled by a poacher’s bullet. As the surviving buck breaks free and turns on the hunter, Timmy must act fast to protect the man—though he’s soon in danger himself. When Lassie returns with Paul and the Game Warden, the wounded buck staggers away, and the truth of the poacher’s actions is revealed not by words, but by the film.
