Lassie #4/1965
In "Krokodillejakt," Paul joins a desperate hunt for a man-killing crocodile terrorizing Lake Chad, hoping success will earn the villagers' trust in his farming advice. Stranded on an island after their canoe is destroyed, the hunters are rescued at dawn—only to face a deadly storm that capsizes their boats. Lassie saves Timmy from drowning, and the group regroups to confront the crocodile once more. With a final shot, Paul brings down the beast, leading to a celebration in the village.
In the heart of the jungle, Po Yin, Kyan Zit, and U Po Net are taken by headhunters intent on using them to lure farmers away from their fields during a raid. When Po Yin manages to send a warning, Kyan Zit seizes the moment to turn against their captors. With help from the village, the headhunters are driven into the wild, and the trio is hailed as heroes.
In "Flåten," Lassie and Timmy join Ted Welland on a trip to a mahogany felling site near Benin City, where logs are rafted to market. When a hippopotamus destroys their dugout, they’re forced to board a raft with the crew—only to be attacked by thieves led by a stilt dancer from Benin City under cover of night. With the crew tied to the bank, Lassie springs into action, tracking the gang into the jungle before Paul and Mr. Welland arrive to bring the leader to justice.
