In "Fatal Witness," Lash Larue becomes entangled in a case involving a stolen payroll and murder. A man is found guilty of the robbery based on evidence supposedly hidden at a specific location, but Lash believes he is innocent and the real culprit remains free. Through investigation and confrontation, Lash uses his signature bullwhip to overcome criminals and uncover the truth. The story culminates in a theatrical setting where Lash's skills with the whip prove decisive in exposing the actual guilty party and clearing the innocent man's name.

The Fatal Witness
16 pp · Western-Frontier

When a stagecoach driver named Suzy rejects an unwanted suitor's advances, the rejected drifter's wounded pride sets off a chain of trouble that reaches far beyond a simple dustup. A robbery at the Hilton Gold Mine and an attempted murder point the finger at the drifter, but Lash Larue, the roving marshal, must uncover the real culprit before an innocent man swings for a crime he didn't commit. With only scattered evidence and a case full of contradictions, it falls to the King of the Bullwhip to crack the truth in "The Fatal Witness."

The Stolen Map!
8 pp · Western-Frontier

Lash Larue arrives in Prairie Junction after his old friend Ben sends an urgent letter claiming a gang has stolen half of his treasure map—only to find Ben murdered before he can help. When Lash decides to use the remaining half of the map as bait to draw out the killers, he's persuaded to perform in a charity theatrical production, unaware that the criminals have hatched a deadly scheme to eliminate him during the show and claim the map for themselves.
