Lady Mechanika strides confidently front and center here, pistol raised and mechanical arm gleaming, her steampunk corset and gear-laden belt perfectly capturing the Victorian-meets-clockwork world Joe Benitez has built. Flanking her are an ornate brass ring mechanism and a striking organic-looking spiked artifact — two very different objects that hint at the supernatural tensions packed into this "Monster of the Ministry of Hell" arc. Benitez's linework, brought to life by colorists Beth Sotelo and letterer Michael Heisler, makes this second issue a genuinely handsome addition to one of Image's most visually distinctive series.
