This collected volume of Lady Mechanika brings together the steampunk adventures of Benitez Productions' signature heroine under the banner of "The Clockwork Assassin," and the cover — penciled and inked by Joe Benitez — is a genuine showstopper. Viewed from behind, a elegantly dressed figure in Victorian-style gown and top hat raises a slender blade, her mechanical arm catching the eye against the moody, fog-drenched blues and grays of the composition, all framed within an ornate oval border. With writing by Joe Benitez and M. M. Chen and colors by Beth Sotelo throughout, this 2018 release is a beautifully packaged chapter of one of steampunk comics' most visually distinctive series.
