Lady Death lives in peace in the medieval realm of Concordia until her reverie is interrupted by the angel, Vandala, who warns her that Asteroth has arrived to avenge Lucifer's death. After Asteroth destroys all of those that Lady Death has come to love, she embraces her powers, both angelic and demonic, and takes him down. Lady Death agrees to travel to the realm of the Norse gods with Vandala to defend it against an ancient evil that holds the key to her future.
