“Le retour!”

In "Le retour!", Peter Parker finds himself caught in a high-stakes scandal when his sports reporting uncovers a pro football quarterback throwing games for a new mob boss known only as the Rose. Tensions mount at home when Peter tells Aunt May he’s dropped out of school, and at the Daily Bugle, where Robbie Robertson’s new role as editor-in-chief takes a surprising turn. Spider-Man faces off against the Rose in a dramatic first encounter, setting the stage for a clash of wits and webs. Written by Tom DeFalco and illustrated by Rick Leonardi, with inks by Bill Anderson and colors by Glynis Oliver, this 1984 issue features a cover by Ron Frenz and Klaus Janson.
