The 28th album in Raoul Cauvin and Daniel Kox's long-running Belgian comedy series finds the perpetually flustered Agent 212 clinging to a lamppost in wide-eyed horror as a colorful parade of bizarre creatures — a pink furry beast, a red pot-shaped monster, a googly-eyed green alien, and more — grin back at him with gleeful menace. "Effet Monstre" (Monster Effect) promises exactly the kind of slapstick pandemonium the series does so well, with the hapless cop hopelessly outmatched before the adventure even begins.
