Kort & Triest #4

The fourth volume of Jean-Marc van Tol's Dutch humor series Kort & Triest carries the delightfully absurd subtitle Gekooid! ("Caged!"), and the cover delivers exactly that: a small, bewildered figure sits locked inside a wooden cage while a green-skinned witch and a suited inspector with a clipboard look on, debating — per the speech bubbles — whether the cage needs to be bigger or the occupant smaller. Van Tol handles every creative role himself, and his clean, expressive cartooning gives the gag a wonderfully deadpan charm. A fun pick for fans of sharp, understated Dutch comic humor.
