Koloss #3/1968
In "Kolossen dømmes til forvisning!", the military captures Rick Jones, who is manipulated by General Tordenskrall Ross into luring the Hulk into an experimental rocket meant for national security. Once launched, Rick discovers Ross’s true intent: to exile the Hulk beyond reach. With quick thinking, he redirects the rocket back to Earth, but not before Bruce Banner—transformed back to human form under the sun—is exposed to more radiation. Now permanently trapped as the Hulk, he can only be controlled by Rick, and only as long as Rick stays awake.
In "Ringmesteren," Rick Jones takes a rare break from watching over the Hulk and stumbles into a traveling circus run by the sinister Ringmesteren, a hypnotic mastermind who turns his audience into helpless puppets. When the Hulk arrives to rescue his friend, he’s captured and forced into the act, leaving Rick under the Ringmesteren’s spell and unable to call for help. With Rick incapacitated and the circus in chaos, the Hulk must break free and confront the Ringmesteren and his twisted troupe—Teena, the Human Cannonball, and even Bruto—before the hypnotic scheme reaches its peak.
