Killadelphia #29

Issue #29 of Rodney Barnes's Killadelphia announces its arrival with quiet, unsettling menace — a single pale spider descends on its thread against an almost total field of darkness, rendered in stark monochromatic detail by Jason Alexander. The minimalist composition does exactly what the best horror imagery should: it makes the darkness feel inhabited. Loughridge's near-absent color palette, broken only by the blood-red title logo, gives this 2023 Image release a cold, creeping dread that lingers well after you set it down.
