Kiekeboe #101

This 101st installment of Merho's long-running Belgian comics series brings the heat — quite literally — as the title In Vuur en Vlam ("In Fire and Flames") is brought to life on a cover engulfed in roaring orange flames. Two alarmed young characters, a dark-haired boy and a blonde girl in a yellow dress, cling to each other against the blazing backdrop, their wide-eyed expressions perfectly capturing that mix of surprise and urgency the series does so well. A solid pick-up for fans of Flemish humor comics, straight from Standaard Uitgeverij's 2004 lineup.
