This June 1970 Marvel western puts Kid Colt right in the thick of a roaring saloon brawl, guns blazing and furniture flying as a gang of roughnecks tries — and spectacularly fails — to get the drop on him. Cover artist Herb Trimpe captures the chaos beautifully: Kid Colt kicking through the melee, a top-hatted cardsharp scattering to the background, a green-dressed woman watching from the upper balcony, and a dazed tough sprawled in the foreground. With the tagline promising "Blazing Action of Kid Colt, Fastest Gun Alive!" and a story titled "Showdown in Cheyenne!" written by Joe Gill with art by Jack Keller, this issue delivers the full-throttle frontier excitement the series does so well.
