# Ken Maynard Western #6 The main story, "The Redwood Robbery," follows Ken Maynard as he encounters a gang of timber poachers operating in the redwood forests. Ken discovers the poachers have split their stolen lumber into two groups being transported by different routes—one by wagon team to the river and another hidden in the woods. Using his intelligence and resourcefulness, Ken creates a log jam in the river to intercept one group of poachers, while also tracking down the concealed operation in the forest to thwart their criminal scheme. The issue also includes a backup comic strip, "Bird Brain...Overworked," a humorous short featuring a character exhausted from constant labor.
