Katy Keene Comics #8
☆ Be the first to review + Add to your collection — Join freeBill Woggon's "America's Pin-Up Queen" is in fine form on this December 1952 Archie Series cover, where a glamorous, red-clad Katy towers over a dazed K.O. Kelly on the beach, boxing gloves on and clearly enjoying her self-defense lesson. A young red-haired girl watches from the sideline as Katy cheerfully asks K.O. to show her how to guard herself — which, given his stunned expression and the question mark floating over his head, may be easier said than done. Woggon's breezy, sun-drenched artwork captures exactly the playful charm that made Katy Keene a standout title of its era.
