From the New 52 era of DC Comics, this August 2013 installment of Katana throws its razor-edged heroine into a ferocious multi-opponent brawl, her Soultaker sword raised against a leaping, sickle-wielding fighter the cover boldly introduces as Coil — while at least two more armed combatants press in from below against a smoky night sky. The cover art by Juan José Ryp crackles with kinetic energy, posing the central question right on the cover itself: is Coil a savior or an enemy? With Ann Nocenti writing and Cliff Richards and Alex Sanchez on interior art, "Born to Kill" looks like a sharp, action-packed chapter in Katana's New 52 solo run.
