Ka-Zar the Savage #34
☆ Be the first to review + Add to your collection — Join freeThe jungle lord trades the Savage Land for the cosmos in this 1984 series finale, and Paul Neary's cover captures the wild incongruity perfectly — Ka-Zar, clad in a light-blue spacesuit and armed with twin blasters, tumbles through the star-filled void while a massive alien tendril coils menacingly below him and an explosion erupts in the lower left. The tag "Space: The Final Frontier for Ka-Zar the Savage" says it all: Marvel's prehistoric warrior is magnificently out of his element, and his wide-eyed, shouting expression sells every bit of the chaos surrounding him. As the "Collectors' Item Last Issue," this is a genuinely memorable send-off for the series, closing out on an image that's as unexpected as it is thrilling.
