Ka-Zar #7

Ka-Zar, Marvel's "Lord of the Hidden Jungle," faces a desperate situation on this striking 1975 cover penciled and inked by John Buscema — the blonde jungle hero is bound to a wooden post and swept along violent rapids, while his massive saber-toothed companion looms overhead with fangs bared. The taglines "Human Sacrifice… In a Savage Land!" and "Revenge of the River Gods!" promise that the Savage Land's primal dangers are very much alive and closing in. With Gerry Conway writing and a talented art team including Bob McLeod and Klaus Janson inside, this is a solid chapter in Ka-Zar's mid-70s adventures.
