"Death-Web of the Amazons" follows Kaänga as he battles a leopard pack leader and confronts a threat in a native village, where he discovers a murdered tribesman and learns of a phantom cat and a stolen music box. In the second story, "Safari of Savage Spears," Kaänga and his companion Ann face thieves attempting to steal a horse and must pursue them through the jungle, with Kaänga taking the tree route to track the culprits and determine their identities and intentions.
Kaänga ventures into the heart of the jungle to uncover a spider cult threatening a local tribe, drawn in after they ambush a trader and unleash savage beasts upon him. With Ann Mason and Zulu at his side, he confronts the cult’s eerie rituals and the enigmatic spider queen, whose web of power may be more than just legend.
When Weber and his henchmen kidnap Ann Mason to force Kaänga to reveal the location of the fabled Katanga mine fields, Kaänga proves swift and sure in defending her—only to reveal the truth: the real map was never paper, but the prospector’s memory.
